Customer System Installation
The Walker Group's continued commitment to quality and service has been rewarded this month with the installation of a terminal for a state of the art customer M.R.P. system at its Brackmills site.
Caterpillar Logistics Services – XPart installed a link to its corporate M.R.P. system allowing for total integration with the Walker Group's own bespoke management system and ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of all parts. Receiving, picking, packing and shipping is now performed live on the Caterpillar Logistics Services – XPart system.
This investment by Caterpillar Logistics Services – XPart will ensure consistency, accuracy of data and status control are delivered in a very efficient manner.
The Walker Group has several other direct links to customer systems and it's IT team is experienced in integrating with similar systems.
As testament to the endeavours of both parties, there has been a smooth transition to incorporate the new system and it is considered that this will provide a strong platform for the future development of the companies.
