Half Century up for Ford and Walkerpack

Ford recently marked the opening of its part distribution in Daventry 50 years ago with a party and family fun day opened by The Mayor of Daventry, Councillor Lynn Jones.

The distribution centre opened in 1968 would have been one of the largest warehouses in the country at the time and employer to many local people. The centre supports Ford dealers all over the UK and handles millions of parts every year.

Walkerpack have worked for Ford throughout that period from 1968 to date and are one of the longest serving suppliers to the automotive giant in the UK. Walkerpack receive and pack bulk products into required quantities, handling more than 30 million parts every year.
